The Quincannon Publishing Group Design Services Design Services for Authors Other Than Our Own With the advent of print-on-demand publishing capabilities, it has become much easier for people to publish and reach a niche audience. Unfortunately, such production options do not always provide the necessary finishing touches in terms of page and cover design which give the finished product a truly professional quality. The Quincannon Group is an independent press. We function as an independent press with very specific markets. We are not a subsidy publisher which charges authors to be published. However, our in-house art department (with membership in the Graphic Artists Guild) can offer layout and design services (including photo retouching and reconstruction with a specialty in vintage images) to authors who are planning to self-publish through other companies. In any print project, a full color book cover is always a high-cost factor which is not always affordable. While we can certainly design full color covers, we can also design very effectively in two-colors (black and a color) to lend any project a professional, dramatic, and eye-catching presence on bookstore shelves.
